Welcome to the PCBC

The club was formed in January 2010 by a group of local mountain bikers who were keen to develop some decent mountain bike tracks in east Auckland and gain legal access to ride in the Whitford and Maraetai forests.

We have affiliated with Mountain Bike NZ and Te Puru Sports Centre and are under the guidance of Counties Manukau Sport's Club Smart programme to ensure we have the correct infrastructure in place as we build our membership.

The club is also set up to cater for road bikers and multisporters when interest grows and we have started the steps in the process to working with Council and Te Puru to develop a pump and jump track at Te Puru.

The majority of our members to date are mountain bikers; the Maraetai forest caters for cross country and downhill riders with Whitford mainly cross country.  Whilst we are in the early stages of developing regular shuttle ride days for all members to enjoy, our aim is to purchase a club trailer to shuttle riders on these days in order to keep vehicular traffic to a minimum.

Your membership to the club will give you the permit to ride in both forests legally, help to develop more year round tracks, the possibility of providing coaching for those wanting to compete in events and as a club, with future subdivisions a possibility in the Whitford area, we can lobby for more recreational areas for riding.

To join:

 1.    Download the membership form or Phone Te Puru Sports Centre on 536 5360

 2.    Make payment via internet banking (details on the form) and email or fax your form back or

 3.    Post the membership form and cheque to:

Te Puru Community Centre
