Te Puru Community Charitable Trust
Trustee Positions


The Te Puru Community Charitable Trust is seeking Trust members to join the existing board.

Te Puru is a community-based, self-governing, non-profit, charitable organisation responsible for all aspects of the operation of Te Puru Park & Community Centre.

The role of a trustee is voluntary. The Trust meets one evening per month and Trustees are responsible for the governance, direction and performance of the centre detailed in the Trust Deed.

The role is interesting and rewarding and gives the opportunity to make a significant contribution to our local community.

Auckland harbour bridge opened

The original four-lane Auckland harbour bridge was built between St Marys Bay on the city side and Northcote Point on the North Shore, crossing the narrowest part of Auckland Harbour. It had taken four years to complete.
