Trustees Required
The Te Puru Community Charitable Trust has vacancies on its governance board. The Trust is a community based, self-governing, nonprofit, charitable organisation responsible for the administration and operation of the Te Puru Community Centre. It is a Legacy CCO of the Auckland Council and currently receives funding from the Council (approx.. 50% of its operational budget). The role of a trustee is voluntary. Trustees are responsible for the governance, direction, performance and meeting the objectives detailed within the Trust Deed and Council Funding Agreement and meets every month. The role can be very challenging at times but is also extremely interesting and rewarding. To be an efficient operator the Trust needs a range of skills from its Trustees (business; sales and marketing; governance and financial control; and communication). The Trust also seeks to maintain a strong gender balance. This opportunity will give you the chance to use your skills to make a significant contribution to the local community and trust. Casual Bar/Kitchen Staff
Set up bar, kitchen & clubrooms as required for each shift and maintain the bar to the highest standards of cleanliness & safety. Be able to operate the bar in a manner that is conducive to establishing a successful rapport with clients and undertake all matters of cash handling and sales with a high degree of accuracy and accountability. Demonstrate interpersonal skills required to work effectively with all centre users. Promote the Te Puru Community Centre as a recreational, social, community and cultural facility and support the centres Health and Safety Policy
