Pohutukawa Coast Basketball Club (PCBC)
The Pohutukawa Coast Basketball Club (PCBC) provides regular coaching and game time for players from 6 years up to 15 years old, plus weekly adult men and women scrimmage sessions where late teen and older players can practice their skills in a friendly but competitive environment.
Weekly basketball sessions
These session times for Term 3 (from Tuesday 24th July '18):

- 4:00pm - 4:45pm Session 1: Beginners/Youngsters (under 10) - coach Mark and Brent
- 4:45pm - 6:00pm Session 2: Juniors / Yr 5/6 team - coach Craig and Isaac
- 6:00pm - 7:15pm Session 3: Junior Plus / Yr 7/8 teams - coaches Fred, Joe & Brent
- 7:15pm - 8:15pm Session 4: Youth / Social players - coaches Lionel and Peter
- 8:15pm - 9:00pm Session 5: Adult scrimmage - organiser Bren
Fees are $45 per player

The club caters for absolute beginners through to competitive players, with the main focus on the club sessions on individual skills development, covering:
- Ball Handling
- Offensive Techniques
- Defensive Techniques and
- Overall basketball fundamental skills
Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience. You will need to bring plenty of water, sports shoes, suitable shorts and t-shirt/singlet.
Competitive games
The Club arranges competitive games for each term. Through its affiliation with ABSL, we also have access to school holiday Run & Gun tournaments, plus other tournaments as they arise. Details provided through the Club website.
