Te Puru Community Centre has some amazing facilities which are available for private hire.  From the grounds and sports fields to the many different function rooms, we can host parties, club events, meetings, weddings, exhibitions and of course, sporting events.

The Function Room has many different uses from holding classes, workshops, exhibitions and meetings as well as small weddings and functions. The room has ranch slider doors opening up onto a large deck that overlooks Te Puru Park right down to the beach.

This room caters for up to 80 standing or 70 seated.

The room can be divided into two smaller rooms for a split group, breakout room etc.

The Clubrooms provide a great space for meetings, events and functions, especially those that need a fully-stocked bar.  We open the Clubrooms and bar when our affiliated sports clubs have home games so that spectators can enjoy a drink while still being able to view the fields.

This room caters for up to 70 standing and 60 seated. Te Puru has seating available for hire as well as tables, table covers etc.  Our A-Grade kitchen offers a wide range of catering options for your function.

This is the main feature of Te Puru Community Centre.  All sited on a spring loaded floor offers the following:

  • full size basketball court
  • 4 badminton courts
  • netball court
  • volleyball courts

Our sports hall is used for a huge variety of sports events and is also where we hold prize giving events, weddings, fundraisers, productions and community meetings or events.  The hall caters for up to 400 standing guests or up to 350 seated.  Te Puru has seating (chairs) available for hire.

The mezzanine floor is great to hold small fitness or training classes, arts and crafts, or a good place to watch sports events happening in the hall.

If you wish to organise catering for your booking, our A Grade kitchen is available for hire alongside hire of any other room at Te Puru.  Our kitchen contains a deep fryer, hot plate, warmer, gas stove, oven, freezer, walk in fridge and plenty of bench space to prepare food.

Our Conference Room is perfect for holding small meetings, this room has a large boardroom table and comfortable chairs seating up to 14 people.  The room has a separate serving table for refreshments, whiteboard and markers, an additional desk and chairs, air conditioning/heat pump and has views over the main sports hall.  The Conference Room receives WIFI.

If you are holding a larger event you will be looking at an event hire rate.   Kitchen use as negotiated.  We would be happy to organise hire of additional equipment for you if needed.

Prices are inclusive of GST.  A bond will apply to all facility bookings.
