What is the Team Challenge?
The Te Puru Pickleball Team Challenge is a team based pickleball event where four player teams compete across mixed doubles, men’s doubles and women’s doubles.
Every team is guaranteed four team matches, with each player receiving eight individual games across the challenge.
The event includes two challenge levels, allowing teams to choose the option that best suits their experience and style of play.

Community Challenge
The Community Challenge is ideal for new, developing and social pickleball players.
This session is suited to friends, family teams, workplace teams and players looking for a welcoming and enjoyable tournament experience.
Registration and warm up: 7:45am to 8:15am
Tournament briefing: 8:15am
Play begins: 8:30am
Prizegiving: Approximately 12:00pm
Premier Challenge
The Premier Challenge is designed for experienced and competitive pickleball players.
This session is suited to regular club players, tournament players and teams looking for a higher level of competition.
Registration and warm up: 12:15pm to 12:45pm
Tournament briefing: 12:45pm
Play begins: 1:00pm
Prizegiving: Approximately 4:00pm
Tournament Format
Teams consist of four players.
2 Male Players
2 Female Players
Each team will play three pool matches before progressing to a championship or placement match.
Each team match includes:
2 Mixed Doubles games
1 Men’s Doubles game
1 Women’s Doubles game
Every player is guaranteed:
Four team matches
Eight individual games
Approximately 80 minutes of court time

Open Age Event
Players under 16 years of age are welcome, provided they are accompanied by at least one adult teammate aged 18 years or older and are capable of safely competing with adults.
How to Register
Only one person from each team needs to complete the registration.
The person registering must be the Team Captain and must be 18 years of age or older.

Complete your booking and payment.

The Team Captain will receive a Microsoft Forms link to submit the team name, player details, emergency contact information and dietary requirements.

Yes. Substitutions are permitted before registrations close. Any changes after this date must be approved by the Tournament Organiser.
